30 November 2006 – Rosehill and Uzbek State Oil Company UNG sign agreement on the West Krug Field

Rosehill Energy Plc is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the Uzbek State Oil Company UNG that gives Rosehill access to the West Krug Field near Bukhara in southwestern Uzbekistan, not far from Rosehill’s existing North Urtabulak Field.

According to UNG, the West Krug Field holds between 2-3 million bbl recoverable oil. Under the agreement Rosehill will conduct drilling and workover operations at West Krug within the terms of its existing Production Enhancement Contract with UNG.

The company’s Chairman and CEO Fred Ponsonby commented: “Access to West Krug gives Rosehill an opportunity to expand its activities in Uzbekistan. This shows Rosehill is well positioned to access the Uzbekistan market, it also shows Rosehill’s commitment to increasing oil production in Uzbekistan under our current contract.”
